Holy and peaceful, an original dangle earring design with universal symbols: dove, circle and star. Carefully crafted with 14-20 gold filled metal or oxidized sterling, a mother of pearl hand carved bird, and a tiny star carved of pale aqua blue amazonite stone.

The white mother of pearl bird glistens, and the petite assembly dangles from hand made gold-filled or sterling ear wires for a total length, including the ear wire, of about 1 7/8".

Doves are often associated with the concept of peace and pacifism. They often appear at events promoting peace (such as theOlympic Games, at various anti-war/anti-violence protests, etc.), and in pacifist literature. A person who is a pacifist is sometimes referred to as a dove.

The dove, usually white in color, is used in many settings as symbols of love, peace or as messengers. Doves appear in the symbolism of Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Paganism.

In the Christian faith, the dove is the holy spirit & can appear at Christmas, Easter, Confirmation & other holy days.
