Emerald Green Malachite Triangle Dangles, Mixed Metal Earrings with Green Natural Malachite, Geometry Fashion, Irish Green St. Patrick's Day

Green triangles, fabricated from silver and natural malachite beads, dangle from custom mixed metal long ear wires for a striking pair of earrings-a WillOaks Studio original design. A collection of round and tube shaped dark green malachite beads are used to create a triangle shape about 7/8" tall. Tiny 1mm gold plated beads and oxidized sterling silver wire bring this primal shape together which terminates in a long dark wire wrapped loop.

Then, beginning with my original sterling silver ear wires-shaped & tumbled--they turn into detailed, embellished mixed metal artworks as more malachite, gold and oxidized sterling are added. These earwires are merged with the triangles for a total length, from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the triangle, of 1 7/8" (51 mm)

Malachite is an opaque, often banded stone that can include many shades of emerald green and almost teal green stripes. This design uses some tube shaped malachite beads I've had here for a long time before just the right inspiration came to me. I love geometry and odd numbers, so when I figured out how to shape a stone triangle, I was very inspired to see how it would all come together.

It seemed right to use different colors of metals to complete the design so almost matte oxidized sterling silver, bright sterling and gold plated metal beads all converged with the malachite for this original design. Light weight and swingy, these are sophisticated and minimal in shape, and embellished in texture. Earrings are shipped with clear silicone ear wire clutches.

Since the malachite is natural, expect very subtle variations in the stones used. This is a limited edition.
