Twilight Moonrise Series, Copper Enameled Jewelry with White Freshwater Pearls, Dark Blue Enamel Earrings & Pendant, WillOaksStudio

A full moon rising at twilight inspired this “Twilight Moonrise” Series that features a deep blue enamel & golden gradient on copper shapes and white freshwater pearls. Two sizes of dangle earrings, a bold round pendant, and an oval pendant are available in my series, to wear alone or to mix & match.

My "Atmosphere Series" began in 2013 when I began to work with hot glass (vitreous) enamels. And for the past 6 years, I’ve explored & been inspired by skies, weather & skyscapes.

Domed copper shapes are repeatedly coated with fine glass particles that are bonded to copper under high heat in a kiln. Vitreous enamels are permanent, durable, fade proof, & waterproof.

Small dangles 1 3/8” drop from top of earwire; the domed oval is 1” x 5/8”; with a 5-6 mm freshwater pearl

Medium dangles 1 5/8” drop from top of earwire; the domed oval is 1 3/16” x 3/4” with a 7 mm freshwater pearl

Oval domed pendant is 1 1/4” x 7/8” with a 3/8” bail and a 24” gunmetal rolo chain, and a 7 mm freshwater pearl

Round pendant is 1 1/4” diameter domed circle; 8 m-9 mm freshwater pearl; a 29” gunmetal fine “satellite” chain

The earrings dangle from oxidized silver hand formed earwires. Oxidized silver wire wraps each pearl to dangle freely.

Color and glossy surfaces are glass bonded to copper through multiple firings to between 1450 and 1500 degrees F. The front & back of each component feature my transparent dark blue & gold gradient.

My design is meant to evoke that magical time at twilight when the light is fading and the dark is falling--creating a backdrop for a glowing full moon. They are my original design, handmade one by one with subtle natural variations, but each is very similar.
