Bright shades of teal and green, yellow and white enameled copper pin. The playful leaf shape was hand cut from sheet copper & formed by hand. Many layers of fine glass are bonded to the metal, front and back, under high heat in a kiln. By placement & manipulation of the glass, patterns & a design are developed.
This long brooch is a piece of art jewelry. Pin measures about 3 1/2 " long and about 1" wide at the widest. Presented in my signature box & ready to gift
Glass or Vitreous enamels are bonded to the copper in a kiln at temperatures between 1450F-1500F for a permanent durable finished material that will not fade, bleed or change. As shown in the photo, a steel pin with a safety clasp is epoxied to the back.
