A long blue copper enameled brooch or lapel pin with a unique pattern on a fanciful handmade leaf shape. This long brooch is a piece of enameled art jewelry.

A handmade copper leaf form is first cut from copper sheet and formed by hand. Many layers of fine glass are bonded to the metal, front and back, under high heat in a kiln. The design on my art pin evolves by manipulating glass during the hot enameling process.

About 3 1/2” long and 1 “ wide. Presented in my signature box & ready to gift.

Long pin is one of a kind--a 2018 addition to my "Flora Designs" series, which I started in 2015 (WillOaks Studio.)

Glass or Vitreous enamels are bonded to the copper in a kiln at temperatures between 1450F-1500F for a permanent durable finished material that will not fade, bleed or change. A steel pin is epoxied to the back & includes a safety clasp.

Original art brooch or lapel pin, this art pin is about 3 1/2" long. It features shades of blue, and an overall metallic quality as the transparent vitreous (glass) enamels reveal the shiny copper underneath. This metallic quality causes the pin (& other pieces in this series) to look different from different angles and in the changes of lighting.
